Release 3.0 adds RTOS portability and legacy code-migration solutions to Linux®

November 24, 2003, MOBILE, AL - MapuSoft Technologies today announced the release of OS Changer 3.0, a cross RTOS development/target solution that provides developers the flexibility to develop and reuse legacy code across a variety of RTOSs.

OS Changer 3.0 adds Multi-RTOS^TM Abstraction API that allows developers to write one set of code that is highly optimized for several popular RTOSs and now Linux. Current release supports application migration path from VxWorks®, pSOS® and Nucleus PLUS® to several Linux platforms. Implementation is based on POSIX 1003.1a, 1003.1b and 1003.1c layers to provide the necessary portability across various Linux distributions. Further optimizations and tighter integrations are optionally available over selected Linux distributions.

OS Changer tools hide the RTOS differences and allow developers to focus on their product development. OS Changer simplifies porting and also saves developers from future porting efforts. The OS Changer family of products gives users the freedom to switch RTOSs and greatly reuse existing code base to enable their product to get to the market faster with lower development costs. These products come in the form of individual compatibility and/or abstraction API libraries that are fully scalable and readily usable within an application. OS Changer does not require modification to the underlying RTOS products.

OS Changer 3.0 is available now. OS Changer single API component can be licensed at $4995 for first developer and $1995 subsequent developers. OS Changer suites (all APIs) for a specific RTOS are licensed at $9995 for first developer and $1995 thereafter.
